Of Christmas Karaoke & Table Tennis
I just got back from my last shift as a Christmas volunteer at Crisis, a charity for single homeless people. It’s been really interesting working with people from all sorts of difficult or unfortunate backgrounds. The best part is probably when you get to talk to the guests.

I’ve just spent…mh..one..two…three..four..what? four hours? Man. Anyway, so I’ve spent some four hours in the kitchen to make some of my mum’s famous date& nut biscuits. Not for me though.
Tomorrow they’ll be on their way to my previous landlady (who I miss as much as those nuts would miss the dates) in Edinburgh.

Hurrah
I’m glad Christmas is finally over. Been spending it on my own, which I think was great. After all it was my very own decision to do so. Most of my friends seem to believe I’m depressed though; a special case of a social outcast.

Home Alone
I’m finally on my own. Al friends & flatmates left London since last friday. It couldn’t feel any more relieving for some odd reason.
So far I’ve been to loads of charity shops, on an antique trip and on a desperate job hunt. Except for some clothes i was pretty much unsuccessful.
Ok this is getting ridiculous.
Last night the tube wasn’t operating so I stayed at a friend’s place in central London.
Around 3am when my dreams were heading off to the Maldives I got woken up by my flatmate’s voice on the phone. Just like that. You’d think that something terrible happened, like a plane crash. Close, pretty close.
In fact, coffee & tuna disappeared...

I was peacefully having toast with pesto & mayo when my French flatmate came in to disturb me, telling me two of her beige cups have gone missing again. She hang up some notes all over the flat.
The truth is, it’s 9am and I don’t care.

Day Note
Again have I wasted half the day. Winter drags the night into Sun’s face and I watch the magic while sleeping.

Since Thursday I seem to waste most of my time on sleeping. It wouldn’t bother me that much...

Livni Fears Getting Arrested in London
Surprisingly, former Israeli Foreign Minister Tzipi Livni has cancelled her planned visit to London due to alleged arrest warrant against her by a London court.
“The reports said the warrant was issued for war crimes over her role in Israel’s Gaza offensive a year ago, but no British ministry officials could immediately confirm details.” (AFP)
